So you managed to make it to one of the famous hot pink Tony Ferguson clinics which in the TF world could be likened to the famous golden arches that so many of us love! However there is one thing that prevents you from entering or asking for advice...the fear of weigh in time! But don’t let this hold you back because weighing in every week is an important part of the Tony Ferguson Weightloss Program. Hopefully by the end of this article you will all want to run to your local Tony Ferguson clinic and get weighed and measured!
In the first consultation your Tony Ferguson Conselor measured your weight, height and waist. These measurements were used to determine which Tony Ferguson plan is best for you and also to find out your starting point. Is the thought of someone else knowing your weigh a bit daunting or does it make you want to run for cover? How often do you step on to the scales when picking up your shakes?
Well rest assure there is nothing to be embarrassed about; in fact you are to be commended for taking the necessary steps towards a healthier lifestyle. And your Tony Ferguson Conselor is not in store to judge you but to help you reach your weight loss goals. In fact weighing in is so important that we’ve decided to list the benefits to get you stepping on the scales despite the ‘naughty’ week you may have had, after all, we are all human! Let’s look at these in more detail.
Tracking your progress is one of the most important reasons for weighing in. As the weeks fly by your weight may also begin to fly off. By weighing in weekly you are able to see exactly how much you have accomplished. Each and every one of you have had the courage to start this weight loss journey, you all deserve to know what you have achieved. So weigh in so you are aware of how well you are doing or to encourage you to stick to it a bit more closely (it can be easier to fall off the rails if you aren’t being weighed or measured)! Note: weighing in also includes getting the waist measurement done.
At Tony Ferguson’s we don’t just record your weight loss, we also record inches lost. The combination of a weight and a waist measurement is very important. There are going to be weeks where you don’t lose a lot of weight on the scales but instead you may lose inches from around your waist and vice versa. When you get both forms of measurements done it gives you a more accurate indication of your weight loss. It should be noted that losing inches off our waist can also benefit us by reducing the risks to a number of weight related health conditions so track your waist loss too!
Seeing your weight loss decrease each week can be extremely motivating. Watching the scales go down or the inches disappear is one of the best forms of motivation (moving down a belt notch or a dress size ain’t bad either!). Not only can you see how much you have lost that week, you can also have a running total of how far you have come. Positive reinforcement is the best motivator around. Knowing how far you have come can help keep you going even on those weeks where you’ve had some ‘naughty’ moments and perhaps the scales aren’t being too friendly! At times during the weight loss journey you may have stuck to the Program to a tee and weight just hasn’t budged, this can be for a number of reasons however knowing your progress so far can also help keep you going during these times. More on this in a future article.
If you weigh in each week you get the opportunity to spend time with your Tony Ferguson Conselor. At Tony Ferguson we are all about support. If you have any questions or concerns this is the opportunity to ask your Conselor then and there in the security of the weigh in booths. This is a vital part of your weight loss journey and your Conselor will be able to provide you with answers to many of your questions as well as support and motivate you along the way. Don’t be shy to ask your Conselor about anything to do with the Tony Ferguson Weightloss Program as they are only too happy to help and may have come across others with similar questions in the past.
Now, can you see the importance of weighing in (and measuring your waist) each week? So next time you see those golden arches...ahem I mean hot pink booths, walk in there with pride and get your weigh in because “to weight or not to weigh” is no longer the question!
