Spreading healthy message

So keen is local businessman Tony Ferguson to keep spreading word of his successful weight loss initiative that he has agreed to a major sponsorship deal with the Penrith Panthers that will see his logo emblazoned on the lower back of the NRL jersey.

Mr Ferguson was in Western Australia last week enjoying the publicity juggernaut that continues to surround his weight loss program that has now helped thousands of people across the country to live a healthier lifestyle.

Mr Ferguson, a long-time supporter of the Panthers and one of the club’s longest serving sponsors, said teaming with the local rugby league team was a great way to spread the word about living healthily.

“People need to learn about healthy nutrition and our program is 90 per cent education and 10 per cent product,” he said.

“It’s a good deal for us because our message will be seen on the back of an NRL jersey – and hopefully that will get it across to both parents and their children.”

With free to air and pay television as well as exposure to live audiences at the ground, the sponsorship deal potentially exposes Mr Ferguson to millions of people throughout the season.

Mr Ferguson said he is thrilled that his weight loss initiative has been able to help so many people keep weight off.

“I knew it would be a big market once we got a national distributor and since we got involved with Terry White Chemist it has been huge,” he said.

The program is about to hit the international market as well with Mr Ferguson planning a launch in the United States in November.

Panthers Business Development Manager Shannon Donato said the deal with Mr Ferguson was for three years and would be a huge benefit to the club.

“There are obvious synergies between his business and our organisation – both of which promote healthy lifestyles,” Mr Donato said.

“Tony’s program has helped thousands of people lose weight and live better, healthier lifestyles over the last few years.”
