Garlic Pepper Soy Fillet Stir – Fry
Serves: 2
Ingredients
• 4 – 6 Sanitarium Soy Tender Fillets ( 2 for females, 3 for males per serve), chopped into 1 cm strips
• 3 Cloves of garlic, crushed
• ½ Small onion, finely chopped
• 1 Medium carrot, chopped into match sticks
• 1 ½ Cups snow peas, halved
• 2 Cups of cauliflower, thinly sliced
• 6 Medium mushrooms, thinly sliced
• ¾ Cup of celery, cut into 1 cm thick crescents
• 1 Tablespoon olive oil
• ¼ - ½ Teaspoon of ground black pepper
• ½ Teaspoon Turmeric
• 1 – 2 Tablespoons soy sauce
Method
1. Place a large fry pan or wok on medium heat, add ½ tablespoon olive oil.
2. Add tender soy fillet strips and toast for 2 – 3 minutes.
3. Remove the soy fillets from the pan and put to the side.
4. In the same pan, heat the remaining ½ tablespoon olive oil on medium heat.
5. Add the crushed garlic, pepper, turmeric and onion.
6. Combine well and toast until the onion goldens.
7. Add all the remaining vegetables, combine well and cook for 5 – 10 minutes.
8. Add the pre – cooked soy fillets and the soy sauce, combine and cook for a further 5 minutes.
9. Serve immediately.
Alternatives:
• 150g (females) – 200g (males) per serve of tofu may be used in place of soy fillets.
